so it seems like what this is about, is that nfl athletes often file for compensation for brain injuries after they quit sports. (wow that sure is fun huh.) black athletes are assumed to naturally have lower cognitive ability than white athletes, and therefore are less likely to be paid this compensation. in conclusion, what the fuck

As of 3 years ago at the most a recent study showed that an estimated 99% of NFL players had brain damage as a result of playing football.

There are huge implications to a sport that poaches black and brown bodies at such a high number, says they’re cognitively impaired to start with, then gives them brain damage bc ppl think it’s fun to watch.
